The state representative from Livonia, Laurie Pohutsky, is scheduled to lead a canvassing effort for Elizabeth Warren, whom Pohutsky endorsed last year, in Southfield on Saturday, Feb. 29.
Warren is well known for her support of Medicare for All, a socialist health care policy that would eliminate all employer-provided health coverage – and replace it with a single-payer system which leads to increased wait times, rationing, and the elimination of two million health care jobs.
Pohutsky has fully embraced a single-payer system, saying in a Facebook video that she is “happy to stand with Michigan for single-payer” – an advocacy organization solely focused on implementing the socialist-style single-payer plan. Pohutsky has further called for a state-funded Medicare-for-all system that would shift the cost of nearly 5 million employer-sponsored health plans from private employers to the state taxpayers in Michigan.
Laurie Pohutsky’s support of the job-killing and employer-sponsored eliminating socialist Medicare for All policy is concerning for those who like their health insurance and seeing their doctor when they need it, not months later.
