The people of Troy deserve to know that their state representative doesn’t trust them because they might have differing political views.

Last Friday, State Representative Padma Kuppa (D-Troy) admitted that she “doesn’t trust Troy,” the largest city in her state house district because the city isn’t “solidly Democrat yet” during a public Zoom discussion with fellow state representative Robert Wittenberg.
Watch:
This isn’t the first time Kuppa complained about the district she represents. Last week, Kuppa complained that her district was 50/50 Republican and Democrat, saying, “unfortunately, I have a district that is what is called 50/50.” Kuppa also complains that sometimes people who live on the same street have differing views on a particular issue.
Watch:
The people of Troy deserve to know that their state representative doesn’t trust them because they might have differing political views. Rep. Kuppa should focus on solutions to the health and economic crisis ravaging our state and stop complaining about her constituents who don’t share her liberal views. – Tori Sachs, executive director of Michigan Rising Action
