Gov. Whitmer Continues Focus on National Politics While Michigan Businesses Remained Closed

Governor Gretchen Whitmer spent another day failing to answer when businesses still shuttered by her state of emergency order can reopen. While many Michigan family businesses wait for a plan, Whitmer is spending her time on the virtual campaign trail. Whitmer spoke at the DNC Convention on Monday, then had several national media interviews on Tuesday morning, and is continuing the rounds tonight on ABC, MSNBC, and a virtual campaign rally.

Watch:

Gov. Whitmer has focused on her own political future, while small and family-owned Michigan businesses have remain shuttered for nearly five months with no plan from Whitmer on when they can reopen.
