Whitmer Nominated For Leadership Role At Democrat National Committee While Problems Persist in Michigan
Governor Gretchen Whitmer has been nominated by Joe Biden to serve as Vice-Chair for the Democrat National Committee (DNC). This comes after Whitmer ramped up her political efforts in 2020 with the hopes of becoming Biden’s running mate but was ultimately unsuccessful. The vote to select the Vice-Chair will take place on Jan. 21.
Whitmer’s nomination to serve as vice-chair comes as mandated shutdowns continue to cripple Michigan’s restaurant industry, and data has shown the leading cause of COVID outbreaks in the state continues to be in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Gov. Whitmer’s selection to the DNC shows just how hyper-focused on national partisan politics Whitmer has become while Michiganders continue to suffer from her misguided policies.
