Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who serves as co-chair of Joe Biden’s inaugural committee, plans to attend tomorrow’s event in Washington D.C. The news comes as many Michigan businesses struggle to survive due to Whitmer’s ongoing shut down orders.

Whitmer has also been nominated by Joe Biden to serve as Vice-Chair for the Democrat National Committee (DNC). The vote to select the Vice-Chair will take place on Jan. 21.
