Whitmer Refuses To Answer Three Reporters On Why Health & Human Services Director Abruptly Resigned Friday
Governor Gretchen Whitmer held her first press conference since the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director Robert Gordon abruptly resigned Friday afternoon just hours after signing an order to delay the start of high school winter sports until at least Feb. 21. Whitmer refused to answer three reporters as to why Gordon resigned and if she requested his resignation. Whitmer also dodged providing a timeline or cite the metrics and data the state is using to determine when winter sports might be allowed to start.
It was clear to anyone watching that Whitmer likely requested Gordon’s resignation, but no details as to why have been provided.
