Will Whitmer Ask Biden Why National Guard Troops Are Receiving “Substandard” Food While On Assignment In D.C.?

If Governor Whitmer has the time to fly to Washington to attend Joe Biden’s inauguration, she certainly has time to ask him why our troops are being so badly mistreated under his watch.

A new report from Gongwer Michigan has exposed a problem with the “substandard” food nearly 1,000 Michigan National Guard troops are receiving while on assignment in Washington, D.C. According to the report, Governor Whitmer “dispatched Military and Veterans Affairs Director Paul Rogers Thursday to go eat with the troops to get a first-hand look at the situation.”

Joe Biden’s Army Secretary has not responded to Whitmer’s office about the problem. Gongwer Michigan reports:

“Initial concerns for the troops were that they were having to sleep on the floor at the Capitol. They have since been put up in hotels. That was one of the state’s requests when it agreed to dispatch troops to Washington, Mr. Leddy said, as well as proper meals. “Anything less than what we expected the accommodations to be for these people that are deployed is concerning,” he said. Mr. Leddy said he did not yet know what the Army secretary’s response was to Ms. Whitmer’s concerns.”

The nearly 1,000 Michigan National Guard troops are in Washington D.C. despite the fact Michigan’s congressional delegation says they have not been given any specific threats.

Michigan has deployed nearly 1,000 National Guard troops to Washington D.C. and Joe Biden’s administration isn’t feeding them adequately.
