Governor Whitmer Refuses to Give Legitimate Answers on Ending Restrictions
Lansing, Mich., June 17, 2021 – At an event earlier today, Governor Whitmer refused to answer simple questions from the press regarding whether she will end her crippling COVID restrictions prior to the announced date of July 1st. WATCH :
The New York Times reported this week that Michigan was one of the last remaining states to impose COVID restrictions on its citizens, and Michigan is the only Midwest state with any remaining restrictions at all.
“Every job and every business is essential, it’s time Whitmer recognizes this reality and lifts these restrictions today,” said Eric Ventimiglia, executive director for Michigan Rising Action. Ventimiglia continued, “Whitmer’s continued practice of ignoring questions from the press is a slap in the face to Michiganders who desperately want to return to normal life.”
