Michigan Democratic Party Broke the Law With Illegal Donation
Lansing, Mich., October 15, 2021 – The FEC has fined the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee over numerous campaign finance violations dating back to 2019. In a conciliatory agreement signed in September, the Michigan Democratic Party admitted accepting $42,479.38 in excessive, illegal contributions, and failure to properly report contributions. The conciliatory agreement with the FEC required the Democratic party committee to pay a $19,000 settlement.
“Michigan Democrats view campaign finance laws as mere suggestions,” said Eric Ventimiglia, Executive Director for Michigan Rising Action. Ventimiglia continued, “The people of Michigan are tired of the Democrats’ ‘rules for thee, not for me’ mentality and are glad they have been held accountable.”
