Slotkin Feigns Outrage Over Inflation Three Months After Voting to Approve Biden’s Wasteful Agenda
Lansing, Mich., February 23, 2022 – Last week, Elissa Slotkin tried deceiving Michigan families by acting tough on inflation three months after going back on her word and approving Joe Biden’s wasteful tax and spend scheme. This past November, Slotkin voted to approve “Build Back Better,” Biden’s $2 trillion plan that amounts to little more than a liberal wishlist.
Elissa Slotkin’s statement is painfully ironic to her constituents, who she lied to in November when she went against her word and voted for BBB. Slotkin had said that she would not vote for Biden’s plan if it resulted in a tax hike for Michigan families. Yet, she voted yes on the agenda despite the Congressional Budget Offices estimating a taxpayer burden of $367B.
“Elissa Slotkin’s politics has been defined by making promises to her constituents, then turning around and doing the opposite,” said Eric Ventimiglia, Executive Director for Michigan Rising Action. Ventimiglia continued, “Slotkin has proven that she is far more concerned with improving her polling numbers than improving the lives of Michiganders.”
