Conservative accountability group names new head
June 2, 2023 Lansing, Mich. – Conservative accountability group, Michigan Rising Action, has named Abby Mitch as its new Executive Director.
“I am honored and excited to lead the excellent work of Michigan Rising Action, which is needed now more than ever,” Mitch said. “Whether it’s the rabid push for electric vehicles or the governor’s ‘population commission’ scheme to raise taxes, Michigan is led by a group of radical partisans who will not stop their war on common sense unless they’re held accountable.”
Mitch assumed the new post on May 31, after serving as Deputy Chief of Staff and longtime aide to Congressman John James. Mitch is a native of Dearborn who began work in Lansing in 2012 and has served a variety of posts– including work for two Michigan Speakers and Press Secretary for Majority Leader Mike Shirkey. She currently resides in rural Ingham County with her husband and daughter.
In her new role, Mitch most recently appeared on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” to call attention to Democrats’ wasteful EV school bus proposal that has squandered hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on just four buses.
